Dance Classes

The dance program explores Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop and Creative Movement. The program follows a developmental process and enhances spatial awareness, body image, coordination and positive self-image. An annual recital highlights the year’s classes.

Senior Dance Company

The Dance Company celebrated its 13th Anniversary in October 2008. The mission of the dance company is to entertain, educate, and encourage. The company teaches a workshop entitled “ Differently Abled Dance: Bringing People Together” to many movement professionals. They also visit hospitals and rehabilitation centers bring hope and encouragement to those facing challenges in their lives. The company has performed in Boston, Florida, Rhode Island, New York, Connecticut, Vermont, Philadelphia, New Jersey and Baltimore making friends and helping people to see abilities rather than disabilities. The Senior Company performed to a standing ovation at the Easter District Association for Health, Physical Education & Dance conference in Long Branch, NJ in February 2011.

Rehearsals are Tuesdays, 6:45 – 8:15 PM Cost: $980 Members are invited to the join the company when there is an opening.

Junior Dance Company

The Meaningful Movements Junior Dance Company is a platform for our younger dancers (9-15) to express their creative movements. This troupe will perform at local shows between November and May. The company’s motto is “Open Doors – Open Hearts”. To participate, dancers must attend one year of a Meaningful Movement’s class prior to joining the junior company.

Rehearsals are Wednesdays, 4:15-5:15 PM
