Biographies

Michele Campbell, C.A.P.E Executive Director, Artistic Director for The Meaningful Movements Dance Companies and Teacher

Michele holds a BA in Physical Education with a specialty in Adapted Physical Education.  She also holds an AAS is Physical Therapy Assisting.  She has over 21 years of experience working with people ages 2 - adult in rehabilitation, youth crisis intervention, regular and adapted physical education.  Teaching certification held in the state of NJ.  Michele also holds a national certification in Adapted Physical Education.  CPR and First Aid certified.  Memberships include: American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; NJ Association for health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance; National Dance Association; National Association of Sports and Physical Education; National Consortium on Physical Education and recreation for individuals with disabilities.

Marie Nordyke, RN Choreographer for the Meanignful Movements Dance Companies and Teacher

Marie holds a BA in Dance Education and AAS in Nursing.  She works as a registered nurse in an elementary school in addition to her work at Meaningful Movements.  Past experience includes teaching in the Physical Education/Recreation field.  She received her behavior management training through the "Natural Setting Therapeutic Management" program sponsored by Rutgers University.  Marie has been the choreographer for the dance company for over 10 years whose philosophy is to Entertain, Educate and Encourage.  Under her leadership, the company has performed throughout the east coast bringing performances that encourage and inspire.  She is also the choreographer for high school musicals in Bergen County and volunteers as a liturgical dance teacher in Paterson.


Michelle Tompkins

Michelle graduated from William Paterson University's Special Education program; and was a member of two honor Societies.  Michelle is a New Jersey certified Teacher of the Handicapped.  She taught at Palisades Park Jr/Sr High School, grades 7-12 in the Resource Room.  Michelle worked with the Inclusion team at the high school to help her students reach their highest potential.

Doug Campbell

Doug graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Landscape Architecture.  He has worked in design and construction for over 30 years.  Doug teaches the Horticulture/Building class.
